Deanhouse Group transformed a former derelict site at Forest Mill in Nottingham into a vibrant, welcoming student community space. A wide range of custom elements were designed and manufactured in-house, including joinery cabinets, booth seating, tables and bars, a reception desk, window bench seating, a feature fireplace, and a fully fitted coffee kitchen with an island.
A selection of FSC-certified oak, metal fabrication, upholstery, Havwoods oak panelling, Hanex stone countertops, MFC, and LED lighting was used to create a warm, durable, and modern environment. All timber used on site met FSC requirements to support the project’s sustainability goals.
Curved Designs
The project included several curved joinery features that required specialist materials and processes. The result was seamless, high-end bespoke joinery that truly transformed the space.

The use of FSC-certified oak and responsibly sourced materials meant the project met specific sustainability requirements without compromising on quality or finish.
The Result
Alfreton Road is now an inviting space that supports student living and reflects the quality and craftsmanship for which Deanhouse Group is known. The project required a fast-track turnaround, which we delivered while maintaining a visually stunning result.
