Job Title – CNC Operator

Job Purpose
The CNC Operator’s key role is to manufacture components to supply the assembly shop.
Working with the latest machinery including 5-axis CNC Router, edge bander and panel
saw, as well as traditional woodworking machines. Ensuring the components are
manufactured to the highest standards while working to tight timescales. You will work
as part of a close knit team, which offers great support and collaboration to improve the
efficiency and working environment of the business.

and specialist interior fit-out company. We operate across a range of sectors including
hospitality, stadia, modular build, universities and B&I. We operate from a modern

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC Router, liaising with the CNC Programmer where
    required
  • Read and accurately interpret from CAD drawings and CAM files to machine
    bespoke components
  • Quality check all machined goods to ensure they meet strict quality and
    accuracy requirements
  • Maintain and clean down machines on a regular basis
  • Ensuring the timely completion of all works, without compromising the high
    standards required, with regular reporting of progress and issues to the
    Workshop Supervisor
  • Proactively raising awareness of any issues encountered during manufacture
    and seeking appropriate resolutions quickly
  • Adhere to Health & Safety Requirements within the Workshop, raising any
    concerns with the Workshop Supervisor
  • Providing regular feedback and input to other departments to drive
    improvements to internal processes.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in CNC Operating

Skills & Abilities

  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery in a joinery, cabinetry, or
    woodworking environment
  • Familiarity with materials like MDF, hardwoods, veneers, solid surface, compact
    laminates and plywood
  • Working knowledge of CNC software
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude
  • Flexibility with hours to assist workflow and achieve deadlines
  • Understanding and setting up of machinery
