Huddersfield Town’s ‘The Green Goal’ Business Networking Event

We had a fantastic time attending Huddersfield Town’s ‘The Green Goal’ Business Networking Breakfast last month. The event focused on how local businesses can work together to build a more sustainable future, bringing together leaders from across the region for meaningful discussions on existing and potential future green initiatives. It was a real pleasure meeting new faces, hearing how others are making a difference, and discussing our own efforts here at Deanhouse.

This networking event forms part of Huddersfield Town’s wider drive for sustainability. It comes in light of the club achieving Silver Status in the EFL Green Clubs initiative, a well-deserved recognition of the club’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility.

During the event, we heard from Adam Pearce, Head of Commercial Renewable Sales at Utilita Energy and Christopher Quinn, Commercial Director at Core Facility Services, who shared how they’re driving sustainability within their organisations and helping others to do the same. Sarah Edwards from Huddersfield Town also spoke, outlining the club’s journey toward a greener future, offering valuable insights and practical steps that any business can take.

We’re always looking for ways to do things better, minimising waste, using FSC-certified and recycled materials wherever possible, and generally building a culture of sustainability within our business. Therefore, hearing ideas from others was really inspiring and certainly gave us plenty of food for thought moving forward.

As the official fit-out partner of Huddersfield Town Football Club, we’re proud to work alongside a club recognised for its environmental initiatives and to be part of a network of partners who share those values. We look forward to many more opportunities to connect in the future and continue driving positive change within our wonderful community.
